Story.
My name is Gisela and I make music.

Not constantly, not as much as I would like too, but when I do I feel like I can do nothing else. I'm a student you see, I don't do this for money or fame or for anyone - but myself. I love the feedback and I love it when people tell me I did something good. Something they can relate to.

From the beginning I made music to clear my mind and to try not to think about silly stuff like unhappy love and such. I always say that I make the best music when I'm sad, upset or very bored. I'm sure you know just what I'm talking about.

I play the guitar. It started in 1994 when I realized I wanted to be able to play Nirvana's About a girl - yes, it's the truth. I had a band as well, and we played pop/punk with swedish lyrics. We broke up after a few years, I wanted to make different music. A bit sad or melancholic music, I guess. Yes. It's a style that suits me just fine.

I'd like to keep it simple so that I can play my songs live and without having to let someone else play the guitar. I'm not a pro. Oh no. I'm a lousy guitar player, but I've come to realize that my own limits works in creative ways for me. All good.

Between the years 1998 and 2001 I didn't make any music or play any guitar at all. Then something happened and I was back in business again, releasing four demo records in four years.

When I make my music I usually write the lyrics first, then adding the music. Most of the time I record my songs with help from my dear friend Martin Johansson. We record at home, using a simple microphone, a computer with Cubase (among other software) and sometimes a Midi keyboard and/or other instruments. The ability to record at Martin's place is, of course, an important factor. Also, time is an issue, and lately I'm sorry to say that I haven't had so much time to make and record my music. In 2008 and I released my record called Broken hearts and glass, with songs from 2005 - 2008.

On this page you will find all of my songs. You can download/listen, read the lyrics and some facts about each song. Besides the songs of my main solo project Gisela, you'll also find music from smaller projects, more or less serious stuff, but every song is a piece of history for me. Hope you'll like it.

Enjoy me.

To see me, I recommend Projekt Ego.
